Artsy Pumpkins, a Craft Show, and a Chili Cookoff

October 01, 2018

This month offers our visitors and guests an abundance of activities and events from which to choose, and a few of our favorites are listed here. First, start your holiday shopping early at the American Heritage Craft Show on October 20 at the Honeywell Center. This juried arts and crafts show includes holiday home décor, jewelry, clothing, purses, baskets, pottery, soap, candles, and more. Also on the 20th, get set to taste over 100 recipes of spicy bowls of red at the Chili for Charity Chili Cookoff at Paradise Spring Historical Park.

Be sure to vote for your favorite! All proceeds will benefit nine different charities in Wabash County. Next, join us at the Charley Creek Gardens for the 8th Annual Indoor Pumpkin Walk on October 27. Pumpkins decorated by Wabash High School art students will be exhibited through October 31. Lastly, get your Halloween on in style at the Downtown Wabash 4th Annual Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza on October 27. Round up the family and come in costume – this event is free and the focus is on fun. Trick-or-treaters are also welcome at the Dr. James Ford Historic Home on October 31.
