August is for ArtsFest

August 01, 2017

Jazz on the lawn, Shakespeare in the garden, gallery walks, live street concerts, and much more await you at ArtsFest 2017. From August 3rd through August 6th, we invite you to join us in downtown Wabash for our city’s 10th annual celebration of the arts. Jazz on the Lawn will officially open ArtsFest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Honeywell House. Afterward, stroll over to Charley Creek Gardens Education and Resource Center for the 7:30 performance of “Romeo and Juliet.” The Bard’s play will be performed by Hoosier Shakes, a professional, repertory-style company who will also perform “Much Ado About Nothing” on Sunday, August 6th.

Straight Up Chumps will be performing at Carpenter Plaza during Friday’s gallery walk and Bourbon Tasting, and screenwriter Angelo Pizzo (“Rudy,” “Hoosiers”) will host a Q & A at a special screening of “Hoosiers.” The Honeywell Center Plaza will be the site of the Kid-O-Rama Family Festival on Saturday, featuring interactive KidZone midway booths, pedal go-karts, zorb balls, a foam party, and a jungle bounce house.
