Combining history and macabre fantasy in the landmark setting of the Seiberling Mansion, just in time for Halloween! The Howard County Historical Society presents the 2019 edition of our murder mystery tour on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26. Seven tours will be offered, three on Friday and four on Saturday. Guests will begin at the Elliott House, where our fortune teller and friends are waiting to entertain and serve refreshments while your group gathers. At the appropriate hour, Mansion hosts will greet each group and transport them back in time as they walk from the Elliott House to the Seiberling Mansion. There, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes take over as guides through the mansion as you track Jack the Ripper. Explore the workings of the criminal mind through conversations with visiting Victorian Gothic authors and their haunting creations. Will the clues lead you and Holmes to the Ripper? Will you be in time to save his next victim? *Important* Plan to arrive early for this event to enjoy it in full. The tour groups will gather in the neighboring Elliott House prior to their tour time to enjoy our fortune teller and pre-show refreshments. Tours depart at designated ticket time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to join their departed tour group once they have entered the house. If later tour space is available you may opt to join it, but no refunds are given for missed tour departures. Tour requires walking and climbing/decending a few flights of stairs. Ages 12+ Parental guidance is advised due to mature content. *Thank you!* For more information, contact the HCHS office at 765-452-4314. Memberships may be purchased at any time, including at the door. All proceeds of the event benefit the Howard County Historical Society.
